UBS appoints new head of real estate for Europe

UBS Asset Management has appointed Reto Ketterer as head of real estate for Europe, excluding Switzerland, in its real estate and private markets business. He will be based in Zurich and start the job on Jan. 1.

Previously, Ketterer served as head of business management and operations within the real estate for Europe division for 10 years. And he was head of Europe, excluding Switzerland, at what was then known as UBS Asset Management Global Real Estate.

Earlier this month, the firm named Stefan Rose, who was an infrastructure debt specialist at Edmond de Rothschild, as a portfolio manager in its infrastructure debt team within the real estate and private markets business.

UBS Asset Management had invested assets of 70 billion Swiss francs ($71 billion) in its real estate and private markets business at the end of September this year, according to its third quarter results.
