Two municipal pension funds seek core real estate managers

The $240 million City of Alexandria (Va.) Firefighters’ and Police Officers’ Pension Plan is searching for a core-plus real estate manager. The pension fund is looking to commit $5 million. Proposals are due Jan. 28.

The $110 million City of Sunrise (Fla.) Firefighters’ Pension Fund is seeking core and core-plus real estate managers. The pension fund will split $11 million between core and core-plus property investments. Proposals are due Jan. 27.

Both pension funds have the assistance of investment consultant Dahab Associates. The RFPs can be found on Dahab Associates’ website.
