Three bidders in the running for $1.15b Inglewood transit system

The City of Inglewood (Calif.) has narrowed its search to three bidders for the development of the Inglewood Transit Connector, a proposed 1.6-mile fully automated, elevated, fixed-guideway transit system in Los Angeles.

The bidders include Inglewood Community Connectors; Envision Inglewood Connector; and Elevate Inglewood Partners: Plenary Group, Loop Capital, Parsons Corporation, Alternate Concepts, and Tutor Perini Corporation, according to InfraPPP. They will now participate in the second phase of the procurement process for the project.

The connector would complete a critical first-/last-mile gap between the underserved Inglewood community and the countywide Metro Rail system, according to a project development document. The project would include the construction of the guideway, three stations and purchase of vehicles.
