The $28.5 billion Texas Employees Retirement System has committed $50 million to an undisclosed private real estate fund, according to Meagan Hoffman, senior operational due diligence analyst for the retirement system. It is a co-investment fund.
Throughout 2018, Texas ERS has put equity into multiple real estate funds. These funds include $75 million to IndoSpace Logistics Parks III, managed by Realterm and Everstone Capital; $60 million to KSL Capital Partners V, managed by KSL Capital Partners; $25 million to Abacus Multi-Family Partners IV, managed by Abacus Capital Group; and $100 million to Digital Colony Partners, managed by Colony Capital and Digital Bridge Holdings.
Texas ERS has a target allocation to real estate of 12 percent.
