Texas ERS CIO Tom Tull announces plans to retire next year

Tom Tull, CIO of the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS), has announced plans to retire next summer after nearly 12 years with the system.

Porter Wilson, executive director at Texas ERS, said Korn Ferry US, based in Los Angeles, has been selected to assist in the transition with help in finding Tull’s replacement over the coming months.

Tull began his career with Texas ERS in 2009 as director of strategic research after a long and successful private career in the investment industry. He was named CIO of Texas ERS in 2012. Before joining the agency, he served for 11 years as a member of the Investment Advisory Committee, which is appointed by the retirement system’s board of trustees to consult and advise the board on investments and investment-related issues.
