Tennessee Consolidated backs Blackstone, EQT Exeter funds

The Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS) has disclosed two real estate commitments to funds managed by Blackstone and EQT Exeter.

The pension fund put $150 million in Blackstone Real Estate Partners X and $100 million in EQT Exeter US Industrial Value Add Fund VI.

The opportunistic Blackstone Real Estate Partners X launched in May. A fundraising target could not be determined at the time of publication. The fund’s predecessor, Blackstone Real Estate Partners IX (BREP IX), reached a final close in 2019 with $20.5 billion of capital commitments.

Blackstone Real Estate Partners X invests in diversified property types globally

EQT Exeter US Industrial Value Add Fund VI launched in March with a $4.5 billion fundraising target. The value-add fund will invest in industrial and logistics properties in the United States.

TCRS could not be reached to comment on its investments at the time of publication.
