Southampton City Council has approved Sovereign Centros’ proposals for the £250 million (€291 million/$347 million) regeneration of Leisure World in Southampton, England, according to media outlets.

The site will include a cinema, casino, leisure and well-being facilities; two 150-room hotels; 80 serviced hotel apartments; 650 new homes; modern workspace; a vibrant public realm; much-improved linkages within the city center; and an overall investment in Southampton city center, opening up new waterfront areas.

The development is expected to be built in four stages starting in 2022.
