South Korean investor buys Seattle hotel

Hana Financial Investment and its partner Hotel Lotte have purchased a hotel at The Mark in Seattle, from U.S. real estate investment management firm Stockbridge.

The sales price was $175 million. 

The deal marks the first of the Korean hotel company’s joint investment with a financial institution.

The five-star hotel will start operation in June next year under the new name Lotte Hotel Seattle.

The hotel, occupying 16 floors of the 44-story The Mark building in Seattle, has a total of 189 rooms including 31 suites. It is located 12 miles from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
