Tampa, Fla.-based Sila Realty Trust has sold its portfolio of 29 data centers for $1.32 billion, leaving Sila as a pure-play healthcare REIT.
In May, Sila agreed to sell the portfolio to Mapletree Industrial Trust, a REIT listed on the Singapore exchange, for $1.32 billion in order to focus on healthcare properties. IREI understands the sale price generated $1.27 billion in net cash proceeds after transaction costs, loan payoff costs and other prorations.
According to Data Center Dynamics, the company sold the portfolio, totaling 3.3 million rentable square feet, for $370 million more than it paid to acquire the facilities.
