SFERS to launch RFP for general investment consultant

The San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System (SFERS) has decided to move forward with issuing an RFP for general investment consulting services, according to a recent board agenda.

On July 1, 2019, the retirement board issued an RFP for investment consulting services, and on Jan. 2, 2020, NEPC was awarded a three-year contract, which will expire at the end of 2022.

The general scope of work is to provide non-discretionary professional investment consulting services. Candidates for the general investment consultant role must meet a number of minimum qualifications, including that at least one key professional member of the firm must have a minimum of 10 years of experience working with institutional clients.
