SC Capital Partners seeks $1b for new Pan-Asia Pacific real estate investment vehicle

SC Capital Partners has launched a new investment vehicle, Real Estate Capital Asia Partners (RECAP VI, with a target size of $1 billion, according to a recent SEC filing.

The closed-end opportunistic fund focuses on acquiring a portfolio of Pan-Asia Pacific real estate investments by targeting undervalued, undermanaged and distressed assets, and special situations. The focus will be on developed markets in Asia Pacific, including Australia, Japan and South Korea.

IREI understands RECAP VI will target logistics, senior living, special situations and data center properties. In addition, the fund will also continue its buy, fix and sell strategy.

Data center properties will be acquired through the firm’s specialized data center platform, SC Zeus Data Centers, which will serve as a one-stop solution to the various real estate strategies managed by SC Capit
