San Mateo County Employees' Retirement Association (SamCERA) has disclosed a net return of 24.3 percent for the fiscal year ending June 30, exceeding its policy benchmark of 23.5 percent, ranking it in the 86th percentile of its peer universe.
Interest rates fell substantially, supporting outperformance of the real estate (+13.1 percent), IT (+11.6 percent) and telecom (+10.7 percent) sectors.
Real estate saw a 7.56 percent return for the one-year period.
