New York–based private real estate firm Related Companies has reportedly broken ground on a $8 billion mixed-use development in Santa Clara, Calif.
The 240-acre, 9.2 million-square-foot site is located adjacent to the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium and will replace a public golf course.
The development will include 5.4 million square feet of office space, 1 million square feet of retail and entertainment space, 700 hotel rooms, 1,680 residential units, and parking.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified (LEED) project is part of a partnership between Related and the city of Santa Clara.
Phase one is reportedly slated for completion in 2023.
