PSERS puts $300m in Brookfield Strategic Real Estate Partners IV

The $72.5 billion Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) has committed up to $300 million to Brookfield Strategic Real Estate Partners IV (BSREP IV), according to the minutes from the pension fund’s Nov. 19 meeting.

BSREP IV, a closed-end, diversified, opportunistic fund managed by Brookfield Asset Management, opened to investors in May and is seeking to raise $17 billion.

The fund will target investment opportunities in property assets and real estate operating companies in North America, Brazil, Europe and Australia.
