Pension Insurance Corporation to build €226m skyscraper in Birmingham, England

Pension Insurance Corporation plc (PIC), a specialist insurer of defined benefit pension funds and Court Collaboration, a U.K.-based property developer, have broken ground on the 51-story One Eastside build-to-rent development in Birmingham, England.

The event, attended by Councilor Ian Ward, Birmingham City Council Leader, marks a significant milestone for the project, which PIC has forward funded with a £200 million (€226 million/$246 million) investment to build one of Birmingham’s first skyscrapers.

Located near the new Curzon Street HS2 station in the heart of Birmingham, One Eastside will comprise 667 high-quality new homes for rent. The development also will feature co-working space and amenities for residents, such as a cinema room, sky lounge and gym.
