by Jody Barhanovich

Christopher Mendez and Keith Page have joined Pearlmark as its newest senior investment officers focusing on both debt and equity investment originations across the United States.

Mendez will head up Pearlmark’s New York office, where he will focus on investment activities including sourcing, underwriting and executing transactions for Pearlmark’s managed funds.  Mendez last served as director and co-head of U.S. investments at Madison International Realty.  Prior to joining Madison in 2009, he worked for Morgan Stanley Real Estate, where he was engaged in both investment banking and investing transactions.

Page joins Pearlmark with significant principal investing and banking experience in a range of commercial real estate projects and markets and will also focus on investment activities for Pearlmark’s managed funds. Most recently, he was senior vice president at Macquarie in the principal investment arm of the bank responsible for both debt and equity investments and asset management. Prior to joining Macquarie in 2010, Page began his career as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Page will be based in Pearlmark’s headquarters in Chicago.

Stephen Quazzo, co-founder and CEO of Pearlmark, remarked on the new additions, “We are thrilled to have Christopher and Keith added to our team as we look to broaden our relationships and coverage to source attractive risk-adjusted opportunities for our investment capital.”

Pearlmark is currently investing in office, industrial and multifamily assets in major U.S. markets on behalf of institutional accounts and its Pearlmark Equity Partners fund.  In addition, the firm is directly originating mezzanine, B-note and preferred equity investments on behalf of Pearlmark Mezzanine Realty Partners IV and institutional co-investment clients.
