PATRIZIA delivers €40m CLT-built residential neighborhood in the Netherlands

PATRIZIA SE has delivered one of the first in a new generation of residential built-to-rent neighborhood developments in the Netherlands, constructed from cross-laminated timber.

CLT is highly sustainable, provides better insulation, is relatively stronger and lighter than conventional bricks and concrete, and sharply reduces construction time and costs. Using CLT shortens construction times (by six months on average) and results in cheaper end-to-end processes due to the ease of utilizing prefabricated manufacturing, its lighter weight and relatively greater durability than concrete, and a better thermal performance.
