Orion holds €1.5b final close
Orion Capital Managers has held a €1.5 billion ($1.62 billion) final close for its Orion European Real Estate Fund V, exceeding its fundraising target. The fund continues the strategies of prior Orion funds investing in a wide range of assets across Europe.
Orion European Real Estate Fund V, which launched in fourth quarter 2016, is an opportunistic closed-end real estate fund that will invest in debt secured by European properties.
The fund’s predecessor, Orion European Real Estate Fund IV, held a €1.3 billion ($1.39 billion) final close in November 2013. The fund primarily focuses on the United Kingdom and the continental markets of Barcelona, Madrid, Milan and Paris.
Orion European Real Estate Fund III held a €1.28 billion ($1.37 billion) final close in December 2009, exceeding its original fundraising target of €1 billion ($1.07 billion).
