OP&F reports 14.3% gross return for fiscal year 2017

The $15.1 billion Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund total’s fund return for fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, was 14.27 percent, according to David Graham, communications manager. Wilshire Associates, OP&F’s general investment consultant, presented a review of portfolio performance, indicating a 7.05 percent gross return year-to-date, as well.

OP&F’s real estate portfolio showed growth in first quarter 2017, as well. OP&F’s real estate consultant, The Townsend Group, provided the pension fund with a report on first-quarter real estate performance showing a 2 percent gross return for the quarter and a 9.6 percent gross return for the year ending March 31. OP&F’s real estate portfolio was valued at $1.67 billion, or 10.9 percent of the total portfolio, as of July 31.
