OMERS buys Paris office for €477m

Groupama Immobilier has sold its Window building in the Paris business district of La Défense.

The sales price was  €477 million ($547 million).

Window, which was completed in the late summer, was sold to Oxford Properties Group, the real estate arm of Canada’s Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System.

Since 2015, Groupama Immobilier has completed a complete restructuring of the former Elysée Défense building to make it an innovative architectural object, deployed more than 44,000 square meters (474,000 square feet),  and the building has become a symbol of the new Défense.

Window is already fully let by RTE (Electricity Transmission Network), which signed a lease in 2016, 12 years, with an effective take in October 2018. The “tower horizontal” of seven floors, 150 meters (492 feet) long, and the trays extend more than 4,500 square meters (48,000 square feet), twice the usual area in La Défense.
