Oklahoma Public Employees seeks investment consultant

The Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) has launched an RFP seeking proposals from investment consulting firms to provide investment and financial consulting services on a contractual basis.

The pension fund’s board of trustees and the Uniform Retirement System for Justices and Judges (URSJJ) is charged with the investment of $13 billion in combined defined benefit retirement funds for public employees in OPERS. As of Dec. 31, 2021, the total number of assets in both defined contribution plans was $1.6 billion.

The general investment consultant will provide consulting advice relating to all investment activities of the OPERS, URSJJ, SoonerSave and Pathfinder plans. Currently, OPERS master custodian Northern Trust calculates all performance results for OPERS pension investments.
