OCERS total fund increases 1.15% in May

The Orange County (Calif.) Employees Retirement System’s total fund recorded a 1.15 percent increase in May. As of May 31, 2017, OCERS’ total fund was at an all-time high of $14.44 billion. The total fund was previously at $14.2 billion.

OCERS’ investment committee received the update about OCERS’ preliminary fund performance at its June 28, 2017, meeting.

The 1.15 percent increase recorded more than $160 million in investment gains in the month of May. In addition, OCERS reported a one-year return of 12.8 percent as of May 31, and a trailing five-year return of 7.94 percent. For the trailing 10-year span, OCERS recorded a 5.02 percent gain.
