Oaktree to launch non-traded REIT

Oaktree Capital has plans to launch Oaktree Real Estate Income Trust to invest primarily in office, multifamily and industrial assets, according to media outlets. The REIT is looking to raise up to $2 billion.

Oaktree Capital currently manages 16 real estate funds and has invested an estimated $4.56 billion in 150 U.S. properties. As of December, it had $100 billion in assets under management.
