Northwood Investors launches new real estate fund

Northwood Investors, a privately held real estate investment adviser, has launched its next real estate fund, according to a filing with the SEC. The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts.

The new fund is Northwood Real Estate Partners 2018. A fundraising target was not disclosed in the filing, but as of Jan. 7, 2019, the fund had raised $150 million.

Northwood invests across the capital structure, including debt, equity and securities investments. The firm invests in a range of real estate asset classes, including hotel, office, retail, residential and industrial properties. The firm’s investment strategies include single-property acquisitions, property development and redevelopment, multi-property portfolio acquisitions, joint ventures, operating companies, and public and private securities.
