Niam enters Norway’s logistics sector

Niam has signed an agreement with Wästbygg Gruppen’s company Logistic Contractor, to acquire a logistics property that is under construction just north of Gardermoen in Oslo. The property, of approximately 64,000 square meters (688,890 square feet), is fully let to installation distributor Ahlsell on a 15-year lease for establishing a new central warehouse planned for summer 2025.

“This is Niam's first investment in logistics in Norway, and we are very pleased to purchase a state-of-the-art and pioneering logistics building with expansion opportunities that will support Ahlsell's growth ambitions,” said Morten Roland, Niam’s country manager in Norway.

The plot, located north of Oslo in Eidsvoll, covers 266,000 square meters (2.9 million square feet) and the facility has an additional development potential of 20,000 square meters (215,278 square feet). The geographical location is near the International E-road network, train station and airport. The project has
