NBIM names new CEO

Nicolai Tangen has been named CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management, the manager of the Government Pension Fund Global, Norway’s NOK 9.9 trillion ($842.5 billion) sovereign wealth fund.

Tangen will replace Yngve Slyngstad in early September.

Tangen is currently CEO of AKO Capital, which he established in 2005. Today, the partnership has around 70 employees and manages the funds of universities, charitable foundations and family offices. AKO Capital is based in London, where Tangen has resided for the past 28 years.​
