NIC names new chief marketing and communications officer

The National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) has appointed Mary Ann Donaghy as chief marketing and communications officer.

In her new role, Donaghy will be responsible for continuing to build the NIC brand, supporting NIC’s two annual industry-leading conferences, growing the NIC MAP™ Data Service marketing and sales efforts, and increasing the awareness and impact of NIC’s industry outreach.

Donaghy brings more than 25 years of integrated consumer and business-to-business marketing leadership and expertise to NIC. Her most recent role was vice president of marketing at University of Maryland University College, one of the nation’s largest public universities with nearly 90,000 students.

In her two-and-a-half decades as a marketing leader, Donaghy also held senior positions with The Bozzuto Group, a Greenbelt, Md.-based real estate development, management, and construction company, as well as AOL and H.J. Heinz. Her expertise in strategic planning, brand development, digital marketing, advertising, communications, marketing technology, P&L management and market research has driven growth at each organization.
