MetLife Investment Management announces new head of real estate debt

David Politano has been named head of real estate debt at MetLife Investment Management (MIM), leading the debt strategies group.

Politano is a 27-year veteran of MIM and MetLife, most recently leading the International platform, Northeast Region and Real Estate Capital Markets Group within MIM’s real estate team. He replaces Gary Otten, who retired from the firm.

Politano reports to Robert Merck, global head of real estate and agricultural finance at MIM. In addition to his new role, Politano will maintain responsibility for the International platform, Northeast Region and Real Estate Capital Markets Group while a successor is determined.
