Mesirow Financial Real Estate Value Fund IV more than halfway to $1b target

Mesirow Financial Real Estate Value Fund IV, a value-add fund managed by Mesirow Financial, is more than halfway to its $1 billion fundraising target, according to a document filed with the SEC on May 4.

The fund has secured $538.25 million from 26 investors.

According to the filing, the total offering includes max aggregate capitalization of the main fund along with affiliated parallel and feeder funds. The total sold will include only amounts invested directly into the main fund by the feeder fund and outside investors.

The previous fund in the series, Mesirow Financial Real Estate Value Fund III, closed in September 2018 with $567 million in equity commitments. The investor base consisted of institutional investors from across the United States, Europe and Australia.
