Lendlease partners with Google to develop $15b San Francisco projects

by Andrea Zander

Google has teamed up with Australian developer Lendlease to build $15 billion of residential, retail and hospitality space and associated amenities space in the San Francisco Bay Area over the next 10 to 15 years.

The developer will be redeveloping 15 million square feet of the tech company’s landholdings in San Jose, Sunnyvale and Mountain View.

Subject to planning approval, development work could commence as early as 2021.

The partnership is part of Google’s $1 billion pledge in June to help create more affordable housing options in the Bay Area.

Lendlease is currently involved in more than 100 developments in the United States.
