Leader of London CIV to step down in 2023

by Kali Persall

Mike O’Donnell, the three-year CEO of the pension pooling group London CIV, is planning to step down from his role in order to take up other opportunities.

O’Donnell, who will turn 60 in December, is planning to take on his own small portfolio of clients and some other non-executive directorships, according to a statement from London CIV. He will leave the role of CEO in a year’s time.

“I have very deliberately given the board 12 months’ notice to allow time for a well-planned and smooth transition,” said O’Donnell. “The reasons for my departure are entirely personal, reflecting my own wish to move on to new challenges. Working with the LCIV board and the LCIV team has been and continues to be a very busy but positive and enjoyable experience.”

O’Donnell added that for the next 12 months, he will remain fully committed to the organization, and that he will leave the incoming CEO with a “solid and improving starting point.”
