Kennedy Wilson raises $323m for sixth real estate fund

by Kali Persall

Kennedy Wilson, a global real estate investment company based in Beverly Hills, Calif., has raised more capital for its sixth real estate fund, according to an SEC Form D filing.

According to the form, 16 investors have committed approximately $323 million to Kennedy Wilson Real Estate Fund VI, which invests in value-add assets across the United States.

The fund’s predecessor, Kennedy Wilson Real Estate Fund V, held a $500 million final close in early 2016 — the largest U.S. commingled fund raise in the firm’s history.

Launched in July 2017, the limited partnership vehicle focuses on CBD and suburban office, industrial, land, medical office, mixed-use, multifamily and retail properties, and will consider mezzanine investments, distressed properties and diversified assets.

Kennedy Wilson has 28,500 multifamily units and 20.2 million square feet of commercial and hotel
