A joint venture between H. Katz Capital and Coastal Ridge Real Estate has acquired Campus Lodge, a 1,115-bed student housing development in in Gainesville, Fla. The joint venture acquired the 360-unit development from Education Realty Trust for an undisclosed price. The property is located near the University of Florida at 2800 SW Williston Road.
Coastal Ridge bought a sister property, Campus Lodge in Lutz, in 2016.
According to Multi-Housing News, the deal marks the 19th joint venture purchase between Coastal Ridge and H. Katz Capital, and combined the partnership owns and operates $796 million of student housing and multifamily apartments throughout the United States.
In 2017, the joint venture acquired The Preserve at Forest Creek, a 414-unit, class A apartment community in Memphis, Tenn., from Blackstone subsidiary LivCor for $57 million.
