JR Capital, Chancerygate acquire U.K. industrial portfolio from Columbia Threadneedle

by Kali Persall

JR Capital and Chancerygate have acquired seven industrial real estate assets in the United Kingdom from Columbia Threadneedle Investments.

Located on Crow Lane Industrial Park in Northampton, the assets are fully leased and total 55,780 square feet.

Occupiers include Wolseley U.K., a building materials supplier; Midshires Electrical and Lighting, an independent electrical wholesaler; and Route 1 Fulfilment, a same-day delivery service for frozen and chilled food.

This is the second acquisition for JR Capital’s new fund. “We remain extremely bullish on the U.K. multi-let industrial sector due to the favorable macroeconomic fundamentals, and the recent adjustments to pricing has created a buying opportunity for us,” said Michael Ferris, head of investment at JR Capital. “We expect to be active over the course of this year as we continue to scale our platform with Chancerygate to more than €226.4 million ($248 million).”
