by Released

JLL has appointed James Allan to head of markets Indonesia.

“Indonesia continues to be one of our key growth markets in South East Asia,” said Chris Fossick, managing director, Singapore and South East Asia, JLL.

Allan is currently JLL’s head of markets Shanghai.

Allan has more than 15 years’ experience in the real estate sector in China and the United Kingdom. Since joining JLL in 2008, he has held a range of increasingly senior roles in the China business, advising multinational tenants and landlords in Shanghai and Greater China. Allan’s expertise covers marketing consultancy of major commercial developments, tenant representation and investment transactions.

Allan succeeds Todd Lauchlan who, after eight years as Indonesia head, has been appointed to lead JLL’s New Zealand business.

Allan is originally from the United Kingdom and holds a Master of Science (real estate) from University of Reading and a bachelor’s degree with honors from Northumbria University. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
