Ivanhoé Cambridge takes stake in €1b German office real estate platform

Ivanhoé Cambridge has acquired a strategic equity stake in Golden Capital, the German real estate investment company specializing in manage-to-core investments.

Golden Capital owns and manages a portfolio of 39 properties, mostly office buildings that are located in the seven largest cities in Germany. The properties have more than 500,000 square meters (5.4 million square feet) of rental space with a total asset value of approximately €1 billion ($1.1 billion).

This investment by Ivanhoé Cambridge will help to improve the quality of the portfolio by repositioning assets and new acquisitions in the largest German cities. Golden Capital’s strategy is to invest in high value–added assets, especially in the office sector.
