IFM Investors has announced plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across its asset classes, targeting net-zero by 2050.
The Australian investment management company has established a multidisciplinary taskforce in order to achieve this goal, which will be spearheaded by its investment team. The team will establish frameworks and policies to guide and support sustainable decision-making processes.
IFM Investors said the commitment is consistent with the goals set out by the Paris Agreement, which aims to limit global temperature rises to below 2°C (3.6°F) and to pursue efforts to limit that increase even further to 1.5°C (2.7°F).
