Hines’ $500m Chicago mixed-use development receives approval

Hines’ $500 million mixed-use development on the McDonald’s Plaza site in Chicago has been unanimously approved by the Oak Brook Village Board, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Plans for Oak Brook Commons, a 17.5-acre site, include 250 rental apartments, 104 condominium units, a 252-room hotel, three restaurants, office space, retail stores and park space that is nearly 100 yards long and 25 yards wide.
