Goldman Sachs holds final close at $700m for Union Bridge Partners I

Goldman Sachs Asset Management has held a final close for Union Bridge Partners I (Union Bridge) after raising over $700 million of capital commitments.

Union Bridge is an opportunistic co-investment strategy that is investing in opportunities in both public and private markets that fall outside the mandate of traditional market participants.

The fund is already roughly 40 percent deployed and has provided customized capital solutions to companies across North America and Europe in diverse sectors, including hospitality, fitness centers, software and music royalties.

The fund raised capital from a global-investor base, including sophisticated institutions, family offices, private-wealth clients and Goldman Sachs employees.
