ESR partners with local consortium to build $1b data center

A local development firm has partnered with ESR to build a data center in Nagasaki, Japan, as part of a bid for a resort operating license, reported media outlets. ESR would invest up to $1 billion developing the facilities if the companies secure the resort bid.

Integrated resorts are resort properties that often include a mixture of a hotel with a casino, together with the likes of convention facilities, entertainment shows, theme parks, retail and dining.

ESR will build a data center and distribution center in this region as part of the bid if the consortium obtains an operating license.
