EQT Exeter to create logistics platform in Asia Pacific

EQT Exeter has unveiled plans to launch a logistics fund that will pursue investment opportunities in Asia Pacific’s top markets, a company executive told Mingtiandi TV (MTD TV) this week.

The strategy was revealed during a Q&A session about EQT Exeter’s acquisition of Baring Private Equity Asia, which established Chinese platform Forest Logistics in 2018.

“We’re growing our pipeline pretty rapidly, and I think one of the benefits that hopefully the investors can benefit from as well is that we’re looking to roll out an Asia Pacific logistics-focused fund that will look at those key markets of Japan, South Korea, China and Australia,” said Matthew Zann, head of APAc at EQT Exeter, on the call. “So if everything goes smoothly and we tick all the boxes with the regulatory authorities, then Forest potentially could play a role in that.”
