Dutch institutional real estate manager Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors has opened an international office in New York City as it targets approximately €300 million ($350 million) increase in its investments in North America to take total assets under management in the market to €1.7 billion ($2 billion) at the end of 2022, from €1.4 billion ($1.65 billion) now.
Bouwinvest’s international mandates in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific currently account for €3.6 billion ($4.3 billion) in invested capital and it has another €1.4 billion ($1.65 billion) in entrusted capital for these three regions. It aims to raise the international total to over €5 billion ($5.9 billion) in the next few years.
Stephen Tross, Bouwinvest’s CIO international investments, said, “We see great opportunities to build on our already substantial North American investments in coming years, with a particular focus on sustainable investments taking advantage of the secular gro
