Deutsche Finance International raises €436m for inaugural fund

by Kali Persall

London-based Deutsche Finance International (DFI), a pan-European private equity real estate investor, has successfully closed its inaugural fund, DFI European Value-Add Fund, with €436 million ($496 million) in capital commitments.

The fundraise includes co-investment vehicles invested alongside the fund into a seed portfolio.

The diverse group of investors includes insurance companies, pension funds, family offices and financial intuitions, spread among the United States, Germany and the rest of Europe.

The fund will focus on value-add investments into small to mid-cap properties and special situations, predominantly in Western European gateway cities, according to DFI.

DFI has assembled a €856 million ($tk million) asset portfolio, diversified across five European markets, on behalf of the fund and its co-investors. The firm expects to conclude the acquisition of two more investments on behalf of the fund in the coming months.
