Danish pension funds agree to merger

by Andrea Zander

The Danish pension fund DIP has voted to approve a merger with fellow Danish pension fund JØP at its annual general meeting.

Between them, the two funds have assets of DKK120 billion ($18 billion).

The new pension fund will take the name P+ after the merger, which now has to be approved by the Danish FSA.

DIP is an industry pension fund for engineers, and JØP is an industry fund for legal professionals and economists.
