Cop28 takeaways for Australia, Southeast Asia and the planet

The 28th Conference of the Parties (Cop28), the United Nations Climate Change Conference, wrapped up last week on Dec. 12, following two weeks of panels, discussions, protests, commitments, fund launches and more.

In a conversation with Katrina King, general manager of capital solutions, Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), on QPod, QIC’s podcast, Dr. Sebastian Thomas, climate and environment lead, QIC, spoke about his experience at the conference (he spoke on a panel about mobilizing climate investment) and some of the takeaways from the conference itself.

Discussing Australia, Thomas pointed to the way the country is working to partner with other Southeast Asian countries to build mutually supportive and productive relationships through trade and investment.
