Commerz Real acquires 4-star hotel in Dresden, Germany

Commerz Real has acquired the 4-star Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe hotel in Dresden, Germany, on behalf of its open-ended real estate fund, Hausinvest.

Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe has 185 rooms and a total leasable area of 13,500 square meters (145,313 square feet), 12,300 square meters (132,396 square feet) of which are the hotel. The areas are leased long term to the hotel chain Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts, which is part of the Deutsche Hospitality umbrella brand.

Erected in 2006 and extensively refurbished in 2019, the hotel offers a restaurant, a lobby bar, a spa and wellness area, as well as conference rooms. The ground floor and lower level accommodate four retail areas on about 1,200 square meters (12,917 square feet), which are leased to Geox footwear, perfumery chain Douglas, Fotostudio Picture People and Brocante Antik, as well as a restaurant operated by Radeberger Brewery.
