CBRE Asia Pacific chief compliance officer passes away

Aman Demoz Solomon, the general counsel and chief compliance officer for real estate investment management firm CBRE Global Investors Asia-Pacific, has passed away tragically.

Responding to media queries, U.S. Embassy spokesperson Cain Harrelson said on Tuesday, “We can confirm the death of a U.S. citizen in Singapore.”

According to local Singapore media outlets, Solomon fell down several floors at Ngee Ann City shopping mall on Sunday.

“We offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to his family, and out of respect for their privacy, we have no further comments,” the CBRE spokesperson said in a statement reported in the media.

Solomon relocated from the firm’s L.A. office to Singapore four years ago. He had also worked at global law firms Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Davis Polk & Wardwell as an associate.
