Castle Lanterra appoints Gila Cohen as managing partner

Castle Lanterra Properties (CLP) has appointed Gila Cohen as managing partner. In her new role, Cohen will focus on leading the firm’s corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and private placement efforts.

Cohen brings to CLP more than 20 years of financial services and real estate experience as a consultant, strategic adviser, and private placement professional, as both a principal and adviser.

Most recently, Cohen was a senior consultant, head of corporate strategy and client relations for Courtland Partners, a real estate advisory firm and direct investor, where she advised large corporations, insurance companies, RIAs and pension funds on real estate allocations and capital deployment opportunities within their portfolios. Previously, she served as managing director and global chief operating officer of private equity at Capital Dynamics, and chief administrative officer and head of business development for Golub Capital.

Cohen has also held senior investment banking and trusted adviser roles at J.P. Morgan, UBS Investment Bank and Credit Suisse First Boston. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history with a concentration in mathematics from Columbia University.

Formed in 2009, Castle Lanterra Properties is focused on the acquisition and management of quality income-producing multifamily properties within strategic growth markets throughout the United States. CLP currently owns and manages a portfolio comprised of more than 9,000 multifamily units.
