CapitaLand Investment brings new data center development fund to market

CapitaLand Investment Ltd. (CLI) has launched a new data center development fund in China, CapitaLand China Data Centre Partners (CDCP).

The fund has captured S$530 million ($398 million) of equity commitments, with existing and new global institutional investors holding an 80 percent stake in CDCP and CLI holding the remaining 20 percent stake.

CDCP has plans to invest in two hyperscale data center development projects in Greater Beijing. The data center development projects are expected to deliver more than 100 megawatts of power to meet growing demand. They will be located near established data center clusters and key network nodes of major Chinese cloud service providers and internet companies. The data centers will be completed in 2025.
