Brookfield Asset Management’s New York–based real estate unit plans to start an opportunity-zone fund, reported Bloomberg.
“We are launching a fund in the next month or two,” said Brian Kingston, CEO of Brookfield Property Partners, on Monday at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Various firms have started their own opportunity-zone funds, including Goldman Sachs Group, Starwood Capital Group, hedge fund EJF Capital, and RXR Realty.
